I’m really torn between the Sony Alpha a7R IV and the Nikon D850. The a7R IV has that incredible 61-megapixel sensor, but I’ve read the D850’s autofocus system is one of the best. Which one would you recommend for someone who also wants to shoot video?

    • BraveKeeper285 July 16, 2026 at 4:47 pm

I’d lean towards the Nikon D850 for video. It has great features for video recording and the autofocus helps a lot during filming.

Both cameras are excellent, but the Nikon D850's 4K video capabilities and reliable autofocus make it a strong choice for videography.

  2. Abigail W. Wallace June 22, 2026 at 7:20 pm

Which of these cameras do you think is best for night photography? I've heard the Nikon D850 has good low-light performance, but I'm curious if the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV might be better?

  3. I disagree that the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is overrated. In my experience, its low-light performance is top-notch compared to others at the same price. It's been a workhorse for my wedding photography.

    • The EOS 5D Mark IV is indeed favored by many professionals for its dynamic range and low-light capabilities, making it suitable for various photography styles.
