  1. Kayla D. Harrison July 9, 2026 at 5:48 pm

I'm considering the Sony Alpha a7 III for my photography business, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about its battery life. Can anyone share their experience with how long the battery lasts in real-world shooting situations?

    • Sophia R. Davis August 5, 2026 at 12:19 pm

I've used the a7 III extensively, and I usually get about 600 shots before needing a recharge, depending on usage. It’s decent but having a spare battery is definitely recommended for long shoots.

  2. I don’t think mirrorless is as good as DSLRs yet. They still lack in some areas, like battery life and lens selection. I prefer my Nikon DSLR for those reasons.

    • That's a valid point. Many photographers still prefer DSLRs for their battery longevity and extensive lens options. However, mirrorless technology is rapidly evolving and closing the gap.
