This camera for the price should work without flaw. The instructions are half on paper and half on internet with downloads needed before use. Once I figured it out at home (open with the back cover off) I charged it fully for the next morning duck hunt. Turned it on 5 minutes before shoot the led switch came on and it wouldn’t do anything. I had to open the case and remove the battery to get it to shut off.
The led is extremely bright, not what you want early morning hunting. This caused many birds to flare off before we had our opportunity to shoot. No one was happy with this thing.
One more thing, if you buy this and don’t like or want it because it won’t work, prepare to pay the return shipping at a loss to you.

Customer service sketchy. Could not get them on phone to work me thru issues. Had to play email tag. Every couple days would get response. Instead of solving issues in one phone call.

Bought for my avid deer hunting husband’s birthday. He doesn’t get excited about much but he was like a kid on Christmas when he opened it! Picture and sound quality are clear from test recordings. Will update if anything goes wrong but good quality for the price.

Bought the Tactacam Solo and it appeared to work out of the box once I charged the battery and formated the SD card. Then took it out and it would not record, had green light lit but would not run bluetooth and would not record. Pushing the button did nothing. Sat on hold with Tactacam for over 30 minutes and there was no one to answer the phone. I would be embarrassed if I worked at Tactacam. I will buy another brand only because of the horrible customer service. Defective products happen. Poor customer service is by design and a cost cutting initiative. VERY disappointed……………..

Make for easy recording and records good video..I’ve used it on scope and under shotgun and on bow..can’t complain for the price of a good tactacam. Oh and Amazon wants me to say something about the “warmth” and “thickness”. Ummm yea it’s not warm when it cold and it’s not to warm when it’s hot out..and…its the size it says it is..there ya go..and battery life is decent for all hints or firearm training..

I am very dissatisfied with my Tactacam. I got it set up on my bow at the house and everything was good. Last week I made a trip of a lifetime to Idaho to elk hunt. The night before my big hunt I got my bow out to check everything and my Tactacam battery was dead. I connected the charger up to it and let it charge all night and the next morning when I checked it the battery was still dead. It is not holding a charge. Could it be just a bad battery or is the camera itself bad? Very disappointed that I didn’t get the elk I killed on video!
