Great footage when the camera works. Iv had the camera for a few weeks now, and the footage is divided in to three minute sections however, when replaying the footage, probably one in five of the section is corrupt and will not play back as shown in the attached photo. It has now happened every time i have used it so far and today i had a car brush pass me, i wanted to replay the footage to see if it was worth reporting to the local police, unfortunately the section of footage was corrupt leaving me feeling really disappointed as it is unable to perform the one thing that it is intended to do. I have tried using different cables and laptops but still the same result.

Finally a rear bike camera that is easy to mount, works on loop record (3 minute intervals) waterproof and doesn’t cost a fortune. Most rear bike cams are too big, too expensive or have bad reviews. I have taken one ride and the footage is good; good enough to make out license plates of cars that get too close in traffic. This is good insurance and peace of mind when you ride in traffic. 4 stars because the rubber covering over the SD card slot and USB charge port is flimsy and will break over time. I just covered it with a bit of electrical tape. I hope this holds out over time. It records sound too. Sweet little camera.

The quality of the video is decent to good. The unit was bigger than I expected but that is insignificant and the lights are fine. My biggest problem with this camera is the mounting system.

The mount appears to be designed for the larger diameter seat tube and not necessarily the seat. If you have a rack you need to mount the camera higher towards the saddle which means mounting onto the seat pole instead of the tube where the seat pole is inserted. I have a 27.2 mm seat post and I could not get the camera to mount tight enough even with the shim. The camera kept shifting to the side while riding so I had to reach back to straighten it, this was evident in the video where I could not see vehicles that approached me from behind because the camera was angled to the side. The shim does not stick to the camera with the included adhesive and it can be easily lost while removing the camera or even while riding over bumps in the road. I live in an urban environment and would have preferred a mounting system that can stay on the bike and the camera can be easily clipped in or screwed on as needed.

At this price point, the camera quality is good and the overall value is good however the mounting is not secure.

picture is mount I used, old bike reflector mount and nylon the wraps. Good cam for safety, gets license plates, NO PROBLEM, which is why i purchased . enough stabilization to get plates even on rough pavment. playback is good on Quicktime, VLC player would only play audio for some reason. Had to reset cam several times before install on bike, but finally worked better than expected for $70. Don’t know about long term performance, but I am satisfied for now.

Lack of image stabilization, poor wind noise characteristics, and a slack mount system all make this camera less than useful for it’s intended purpose – solid, reliable, always-works capture of scofflaw and life-threatening drivers that come too close to (and god forbid, actually hit) a body on a bicycle on the roads.

    I found:
    – image stabilization to be very poor and I was unable to discern front license plates of passing cars while moving at all
    – the supplied wedge for the seat post mount fell out despite two-sided tape to hold it. The tape was too weak out of the box
    – the shape of the camera is bulky and the bottom of the camera funnels moving air directly into the microphone. This might be OK on smooth 12mph commute roads but is utterly useless at 21mph on the flat tempo, let alone at 42mph downhill.

I have returned this product to Amazon smartly, replacing it with a longer-standing, well-known brand instead.

Half the videos , like every other one, won’t be viewed. There is an error and you only get half of the footage. The video is not one complete video, like most cameras. All the files pop up like there is a video to see and then you can’t see it. Unreliable, don’t buy. I tried changing the SD card and that didn’t work. The mounting is okay. It has a velcro band but sometimes it slips and the camera sees the sidewalk on one side of you which really isn’t helpful I want to return it but I can’t find some of the parts.

Out of the box, it’s hard not to notice the bulkiness of the camera/light. It is much larger that other rear camera lights.

The mounting wedge adhesive was worthless and I had to use super glue to mount the wedge to the light. The mounting strap is ok but it’s difficult to make it tight enough to guarantee the light won’t slip or shift, as was the case when I rode across a bumpy, iron bridge. I found myself checking it often to see if it moved. During a 2.5 hours road ride, it had to be re-positioned 3 times. The mounting system would. It work well on gravel or off-road rides. However, with a little ingenuity, it would be easy to fix that problem.

The footage is decent but the format of the video files are not natively supported on Apple computers. The microphone is adequate. The light is bright and the modes are fine.

For the price, it is a good-value purchase, contingent on durability. I will add to my review in the future after using it.

I bought this to replace my Cycliq 6CE that stopped working and Cycliq support is the WORST! I found this camera and thought for the price I would try it. So far it has recorded my rides, picture quality is enough to see make of car. We have rear license plates. The light is good. It is a bit bulky but is stable when using the Velcro strap on my seat post. It did beep every 30 seconds on the first couple rides but that has stopped now. I would like to be able to use a 64 gig card. Having been hit from behind before having any camera, I would suggest to all riders, casual or not to have this protection.

I originally purchased a Cycliq Fly6 rear camera, but after the worst experience with a new product of my life, and the worst possible encounter with customer support imaginable, I decided to try this one. Its cheaper and performs exactly as advertised. The only con I can list, is that it only supports up to 32gb SD cards, and the video is slightly grainy (but really not that bad). If you want to have video in case of an accident, or maybe you’re just curious what crazy faces people are making behind your back while they get ready to pass you, this is product is a perfect choice. Worth every penny.
